Hiring in today’s competitive talent landscape is more complex than ever. Recruitment teams are often overwhelmed by the need to manage multiple job requisitions, track applications, handle offers, and coordinate with hiring managers — all while switching between numerous tabs and pages in their HR system. This fragmented approach not only slows down the hiring process but also increases the risk of delays, miscommunication, and missed opportunities.
To address these challenges, Oracle Recruiting Cloud, part of Oracle HCM Cloud, introduces the Recruiting Activity Center (RAC) — a centralized, modern workspace designed specifically to streamline and optimize the recruiter and hiring manager experience. RAC brings together all key hiring activities — from requisitions to applications to offers — into a single, unified view that is both actionable and prioritized.
This blog explores how the Recruiting Activity Center transforms traditional hiring workflows, what features make it a must-have for modern recruiting teams, and the tangible benefits your organization can achieve by leveraging this powerful tool.

What is the Recruiting Activity Center?
The Recruiting Activity Center is a central hub where recruiters and hiring managers can view and act on all recruiting activities — job requisitions, applications, and offers — in one place.
Instead of jumping back and forth between tabs, RAC consolidates everything into a single, prioritized activity list. Each activity is tagged as High, Medium, or Low priority, making it easy to focus on what needs attention first.

Before vs. After RAC
Before RAC
1. Recruiters had to navigate separately to:
- Job Requisitions tab to track openings
- Job Applications tab to follow candidate progress
- Job Offers tab to manage offers
2. This constant back-and-forth slowed down hiring and often led to missed or delayed actions.
With RAC
- A single view now displays requisitions, applications, and offers together.
- Recruiters and hiring managers no longer switch tabs — they simply log in, check RAC, and act directly from one screen.
How to Access RAC?
- Recruiters: Go to My Client Groups > Hiring > Recruiting Activity Center
- Hiring Managers: Go to My Team > Hiring > Recruiting Activity Center
Required privilege: IRC_ACCESS_RECRUITING_ACTIVITY_CENTER

- Click Enable activity.
- For assignees, you can select a recruiter, hiring manager, or collaborator. By default, all activities are enabled for the recruiter.

4. Click Save.
5. Dismiss & Reappear Logic
- Recruiters can dismiss activities from their list.
- The same activity may still appear for other users (e.g., hiring manager).

Business Benefits of Using the Recruiting Activity Center (RAC)
The Recruiting Activity Center is more than just a UI enhancement — it’s a strategic enabler that helps businesses accelerate hiring, improve collaboration, and enhance recruiter productivity. Below are the key business benefits that organizations can realize:
1. Accelerated Hiring Cycles
By consolidating job requisitions, candidate applications, and offer statuses into a single interface, recruiters no longer waste time switching between screens. This unified view means faster response times, fewer missed tasks, and more efficient candidate processing — all of which reduce time-to-hire.
2. Improved Recruiter Efficiency
With RAC, recruiters can take direct actions such as messaging candidates, moving them through stages, or managing job offers — all without leaving the page. This saves countless clicks and hours each week, allowing recruiters to focus on high-impact tasks like engaging top talent.
3. Prioritized Workflows
Every activity in RAC is tagged with a priority level (High, Medium, Low) based on triggers and configurations. This ensures recruiters and hiring managers always focus on what needs immediate attention, helping to eliminate bottlenecks and improve decision-making speed.
4. Seamless Recruiter–Hiring Manager Collaboration
RAC offers a shared view of activities for recruiters and hiring managers, enabling real-time collaboration. Everyone stays aligned on candidate progress, pending actions, and next steps — reducing back-and-forth emails and enhancing overall hiring team synergy.
5. Customizable and Configurable Experience
Admins can fully tailor the RAC experience by enabling or disabling activity types, setting who sees what (recruiters, hiring managers, collaborators), determining trigger frequencies, and assigning priority levels. This ensures the tool matches your organization’s unique hiring processes.
6. Enhanced Candidate Experience
Faster internal processes lead to quicker responses and updates for candidates — which improves the candidate journey, reduces drop-offs, and boosts employer branding.
7. Modern and Mobile-Responsive UI
Built using Oracle’s Redwood user experience, RAC provides a clean, intuitive, and mobile-friendly interface — making it easier for users to interact with the system whether they’re in the office or on the go.
