Job Data Modernization: Maintain Comments on Data Changes

PeopleSoft delivered the Fluidic, modern, intuitive, and enhanced version of classic Job Data in PeopleSoft PUM Image 36.

Modernized Job data simplifies the user experience for HR administrator without navigating using the traditional menu. As HR experts, we know that it is imperative that all HR Users use the Job Data component which stores all job data transactions, employment history and critical /sensitive information of employees, multiple times in a day.

PeopleSoft PUM Image 42 released an interesting enhancement “Track Requestor comments”, wherein HR Administrators can enter comments for every Job Data change using fluid based ‘Track comments’ Feature.

This feature is accessible while accessing employee information using Fluid Job Data page. It enables the HR users to update / track their comments on the changes made to the employee’s job data while using PeopleSoft Fluid Job Data.

 

Fluid Job Data Changes:

  • Click on the Workforce Administrator homepage. Click on the tile “Manage Human Resources”, which is the window to the Fluid Job Data

  • Click on the Manage Job tile
  • Select one of the existing employees for whom Job changes (Eg: Transfer) is expected to be initiated.

  • Click on “Create Job Action” on “Job Actions Summary” page as in the below screenshot.

  • Enter the relevant information and click on “Continue”.

  • Update all the needed (relevant) information on the Activity Guide and finally the comments on the Summary section as shown below.
  • This summary information is available during approval (for necessary information for the approvers) and for later history purposes as well. If the approvers enter any comment during Approving, Denying, or Pushing Back, this feature also ensures that those comments are saved for later purposes.

Benefits:

  • This feature necessitates the HRs to use the Fluid form of Job data
  • Tracking the reasons for every Job action ensures capture of right information
