Overview:
With its new update 21D, Oracle offers a bodacious feature in Absence Management. With this feature, Absence can be automated and scheduled. User will not have to take the hassle of adding the absence on daily or weekly basis.
During absence entry user can enable the Repeat option which will automate the absence entry. This would be very useful if user has to schedule absences for weekly doctor appointments.
Way to use this option:
Navigation: Me >> Choose ‘add absence’ in quick action
Employee and Manager can use this Repeat option from the Add absence responsive page in the Time and Absence work area under Me tab. User can select Repeat and Stop Repeat to schedule the absences.
Repeat option will be enabled only after the employee select the absence start date.
Stop Repeat option helps the user to end the repeating pattern either on a specific day or after a certain number of occurrences. User can repeat single day absences daily or weekly. However, multiple day absences can be repeated weekly.
Steps to enable this feature:
Click on HCM Experienced Design Studio quick action Under My client groups after this, Sandbox will be created automatically.
Click on Transaction Design Studio Tab.
From the Action list choose absences then Click on add.
Enter the desired name and description for the Basic details and also apply additional criteria like roles, Legal employer and Business unit based on our need. Enable Active check box.
In the page attributes action section, choose Add Absence from the Region list.
Set the Basic View Repeat Option attribute and the List View Repeat Option attribute to visible.
Click on Save and Close.
Once the rule has been configured as per our need, publish the Sandbox.
Click on Publish.
Click Yes in the sandbox Details page to publish the sandbox.
