With PeopleTools 8.62, embedded insights within Fluid pages are now fully interactive. This means users can filter, slice, and analyze data directly on the page without navigating away.
As users interact with an insight—applying filters or drilling into data—you can configure the application page to respond dynamically to those interactions. The result is a seamless, contextual experience where the data displayed on the page automatically updates to reflect the selected filters.

On the Page Level tab of the Configure Insight Dashboard, you can enable interactivity for embedded PeopleSoft Insights within an application page. To ensure the page responds to user actions within the insight (like filtering or slicing data), you’ll need to synchronize the filters using the Set Control button.
As part of this configuration, you can assign a hidden control field on the page. This field should include the necessary business logic in its Field Change event to update the application data based on the selected filters in the insight. This setup ensures that the insight and the application page stay in sync, providing a smooth and responsive user experience.
Additionally, don’t forget to list the Search Definition used by embedded insight. This helps define the data source and ensure the correct information is being pulled into the visualization.

PS search framework now enables you to export and SharePoint insights by printing to PDF and PNG formats. When you access Peoplesoft insight in full view, you will see in new reporting option.
With People Tool 8.62. PeopleSoft has enhanced its Search Framework, enabling users to Export and Share Point seamlessly. The new Print to PNG or PDF feature allows users to generate high-quality reports directly from the application.

You can download the insights either as PDF or PNG files. You will receive a notification when your report is ready. The generated report is available on your Local device to view or share. Any filter Applied to the insight is also reflected in the report. This completes the feature description for insight.
