Let us consider a procurement use case in an organization:

Step 1:

  • Employee Creates and Submits an expense report
  • Navigation: Employee Self Service > Expenses > Create Expense Report
  • Person A, a sales executive, returns from a client meeting and submits a travel expense claim for hotel and transport in Expenses.

Step 2:

  • Employee checks approval status
  • Before PUM 53 Update, Person A uses My Expense Report in Expenses to track the Expense Report statuses.
  • Instead of opening the My Expense Report in Expenses, Person A uses the View Approval Status tile to track his claim. He sees that the report is awaiting his manager’s approval.

2. View Approval Status Tile

A new “View Approval Status” tile is delivered.

It is available on the Employee Self-Service Homepage by default and can be added to other Fluid homepages as per organizational needs.

Step 3:

  • Approver reviews and approves
  • Person A’s manager, Person B, reviews the expense report and approves it.

Step 4:

  • Approver checks post-approval progress
  • Later, Person B wants to view the status of transactions that he/she acted on as the transaction moves through the approval process. Person A and Person B both avoid unnecessary back-and-forth communication, as they can independently track the expense report status until reimbursement is complete.
