Oracle Redwood Experience: New and Improved Filters on Candidate List Pages

Oracle Recruiting Redwood has introduced enhanced candidate list filters and powerful new capabilities designed to transform the candidate management process. One of the most impactful updates is the new Years of Experience (Work Experience) filter, enabling recruiters to quickly refine searches and target the right talent across multiple lists—including candidate search, pool members, prospects, and event audiences.

In addition to this new filter, Redwood also delivers upgraded search functionality with consolidated filter options and improved filter chips, creating a faster, more intuitive, and consistent user experience. These enhancements not only streamline recruiting workflows but also improve the accuracy of candidate matching.

In this blog, we’ll explore the key features of Redwood’s updated filters, the business benefits they deliver, and the step-by-step process to enable the necessary profile options for maximum impact.

Business Benefits of Redwood’s New and Improved Candidate List Filters

  • Enhanced Candidate Search Precision: The addition of the Years of Experience filter enables recruiters to perform highly targeted searches, focusing on candidates with the exact work history required for a role. This significantly improves match quality, reduces screening effort, and accelerates shortlisting.
  • Faster and More Intuitive User Experience: With consolidated filters for requisition and event titles/numbers, the search process is streamlined, making it quicker and easier to refine results. Recruiters can now apply multiple filters in fewer clicks, boosting productivity and reducing time-to-hire.
  • Consistency Across All Candidate Lists: The new filters deliver a unified experience across candidate search, pool members, prospects, and event audience lists. This reduces learning curves, minimizes confusion, and ensures recruiters can work efficiently across different recruitment stages.
  • Secure and Relevant Data Access: Filter visibility is automatically aligned with user privileges, so recruiters only see requisitions, talent pools, and events they are authorized to access. This maintains compliance, safeguards sensitive candidate data, and ensures only relevant information is displayed.
  • Improved Recruiter Productivity: By eliminating the need to navigate through multiple pages or re-enter search criteria, recruiters can focus more on candidate engagement and evaluation rather than repetitive administrative tasks.
  • Better Candidate Matching for Niche Roles: The granular filtering options make it easier to identify candidates for specialized or hard-to-fill roles, ensuring no suitable talent is overlooked in large databases.
  • Consistent Search Performance Across Devices: Whether accessed via desktop or mobile, the updated filters maintain consistent performance and usability, allowing recruiters to work seamlessly on the go.

Conclusion

Prior to the Redwood transition, the absence of a dedicated candidate search feature made it difficult for recruiters to efficiently filter and identify top talent. This often resulted in longer hiring cycles and missed opportunities. With the introduction of advanced filters—especially the Years of Experience option—Redwood now delivers a powerful, intuitive, and consistent search experience. Recruiters can quickly pinpoint qualified candidates, improve matching accuracy, and streamline the entire hiring process, ultimately leading to faster placements and better hiring outcomes.
