By selecting the My Team option, managers can view all direct and dotted-line reports in one place and simply deselect those who should not receive the goal. This eliminates the need for repetitive individual goal-sharing and ensures that teams stay aligned with key business objectives.

Although dotted-line reports are currently not visually differentiated, Oracle plans to introduce visual indicators in a future release, further improving transparency and usability.

Overview

The multi-select support for sharing goals enables managers to share performance and development goals with several team members in a single step. Instead of repeating the process for each individual, managers can now choose the My Team option to view all direct and dotted line reports together.

Step 1: Log in as a manager and navigate to Career and Performance.

Navigation: Me > Career and Performance

Step 2: Open the Goal Centre Page.

Step 3: Select a Goal and Share

  • Select the goal you wish to share from the My Goals list.
  • Click on the three dots (Actions menu) and choose Share to send the goal to your team members.

Step 4: Add and Select Team Members

  • Click on Add in the Share with panel.
  • A popup displays the options Any Members and My Team Members.
  • Select My Team Members to display all team members.
  • Deselect any members by unchecking the box if the goal should not be shared with them.
  • Once the selection is finalized, click Share to complete the action.

Step 5: View Shared Members

After opening the goal, the Shared with section at the bottom displays the list of all team members with whom the goal has been shared, along with their roles. This provides clear visibility of goal access and ensures transparency in collaboration.

Step 6: Access Shared Goals by Direct Reports

  • Shared goals become visible to direct reportees under the Explore tab.
  • Navigation: Me > Career and Performance > Goal Centre > Explore Tab.
  • All goals shared by the manager are displayed with goal details and owner information for easy tracking.

Step 7: Employee Actions on Shared Goals

Employees have the flexibility to manage shared goals based on preference. From the options menu, a shared goal can be:

  • Added as a personal goal and aligned.
  • Aligned with existing goals.
  • Ignored or removed if not required.
