1. Creating a Classroom for Instructor-Led Training
Before launching any Instructor-Led Training course, you need to set up a classroom in Oracle Learning Cloud. The classroom serves as the foundation where your training sessions will take place. Here’s how to create one:
Step 1: Navigate to the Classroom Creation Page
Navigation Path: My Client Groups > Learning > Resources > Classrooms

Click the “Create” button to begin. Fill in the relevant details, such as:
- Classroom Name: XYZ Location (for example)
- Description: Demo Location
- Seating Capacity: 100
- Contact Person: Specify a contact for the classroom
- Training Supplier: Define the training supplier if applicable
- Location Details: Provide detailed location information (e.g., room number, address)

- Once the details are filled out, click “Save” to create the classroom.
2. Adding Instructor Details
Once the classroom is set up, the next step is to add the instructor details. The instructor will play a vital role in delivering the training, so accurate information is essential.

Step 2: Enter Instructor Details
Navigation Path: Go to the “Instructor” section next to the “Classroom” tab.
Click on “Create Instructor” and fill out the instructor’s information. Ensure that you input their:

Once the details are added, click “Save” to add the instructor to the system.
3. Creating a Course
With the classroom and instructor ready, you can now focus on creating the course itself. A course defines the content and structure of the training session.
Step 3: Navigate to Course Creation
Navigation Path: My Client Groups > Learning > Catalog > Courses
In the search results tab, you’ll see the “Add” button. Click on it to create a new course. On the general information page, fill in basic details like:
- Course Name:
- Course Description:
- Publish Start Date:
- Course Branding Image (optional):

After entering the required information, click “Save” to proceed to the next step.
4. Creating an Offering within the Course
Now that the course has been created, the next step is to create an offering. An offering represents the specific instance of a course that will be made available to learners.
Step 4: Create an Offering
Navigation Path: In the course details page, locate the “Offerings” section on the left side of the screen.

Click on “Create Offering” and select the offering type as Instructor-Led Offering. On the Offering General Information page, provide the following details:
- Publish Start Date: When the offering will be visible to learners
- Offering Start Date: The actual start date of the training session
- Offering End Date: The end date of the training session

Once these details are entered, click “Save” and then “Close” to finalize the offering.
5. Creating Classroom Training Activities
Classroom training activities define the actual sessions that will take place within the offering. These activities are automatically generated as part of the training offering.
Step 5: Set Up Training Activities
Navigation Path: In the Offering details page, you’ll find the “Activities” section under Learning Activities.

Click on “Add Section” and fill in the details for each activity based on your training plan. Training sessions will automatically be created, and you can define their specific dates, times, and objectives.

6. Enrolling Learners in the Course
The final step is enrolling learners into the course. This allows them to access the training materials and participate in the sessions.

Navigation Path: Go to the “Learners” section in the course details page.
