Steps to Enable Candidate Matching Ratings
To start using this feature, follow these steps:
Step 1: Enable Profile Options
1. Go to Setup and Maintenance > Tasks > Manage Administrator Profile Values.
2. Search and set the following profile options:
- On the Manage Administrator Profile Values page, search for the profile option code ORA_IRC_APPLICANT_AI_SCORES_FEATURE_ENABLED and in the Profile Values section, set the profile value to Y.
- On the Manage Administrator Profile Values page, search for the profile option code ORA_IRC_AUTO_COMPUTE_JA_SCORES_ON_CREATION and in the Profile Values section, set the profile value to Y.
3. Click Save and Close.
What Is the Candidate Matching Rating?
This AI-driven functionality uses Generative AI to evaluate candidate applications by comparing them against job requisition criteria. It calculates four distinct ratings:
- Education Rating
- Experience Rating
- Profile Rating
- Skill Rating
Each rating is presented on a scale of 0 to 5, visualized through intuitive bar indicators, helping recruiters quickly assess candidate fit.
Where Can You See These Ratings?
You can view these scores in a grid view on the Job Applications list page. Simply create a grid configuration and select the “Applicant Ratings” category. This allows you to add the four rating columns directly to your grid.

How Does It Work?
Once enabled, you can manually or automatically calculate the ratings for one or more job applications:
Manual Trigger
1. Go to the Job Applications list.
2. Select one or more applications.
3. Use the Calculate Candidate Matching Rating action.

4. The calculation is asynchronous, meaning it happens in the background. Refresh the grid to view the score status:
- Scoring in progress
- Not scored
- No data for scoring
5. Once ready, the AI returns the scores, which are then displayed in the grid view.

Automatic Trigger via Selection Process
If your Candidate Selection Process has been configured with the Calculate Candidate Matching Rating action, the scores will be automatically generated when an application moves to a specific phase and state.
Step 2: Configure Candidate Selection Process (Optional but Recommended)
1. Navigate to:
- Offering: Recruiting and Candidate Experience
- Functional Area: Candidate Job Applications
- Task: Candidate Selection Process Configuration
2. Select or create a candidate selection process.
3. Click a phase, then choose a state.
4. Click the Actions menu next to the state and select:
- Add Action > Calculate Candidate Matching Rating

5. On the action configuration page, optionally:
- Add predefined conditions
- Add Fast Formulas for custom logic
