Business Requirement: Job requisition approvals need to be incorporated into an automated process, requiring completion within a specific timeframe. If the approval is not completed within this period, the requisition should be automatically rejected.

Case Scenario:
A job requisition must be approved within 1 hour. If no action is taken within this timeframe, the transaction will be automatically rejected.

Benefits of the functionality:
1. Maintains Workflow Momentum
Implementing automatic rejection of unapproved job requisitions ensures that the recruitment workflow continues without unnecessary delays. This prevents bottlenecks in the hiring process caused by inaction or missed approvals, enabling HR teams to operate with consistent momentum and efficiency.
2. Enforces Timely Decision-Making
By configuring a defined approval deadline—such as 1 hour—organizations encourage approvers to act promptly. This fosters a culture of accountability and timely decision-making, improving the overall effectiveness of the job requisition and hiring approval process within Oracle HCM Cloud.
3. Reduces Requisition Backlog
Expired and inactive job requisitions are automatically removed from the approval queue, helping HR teams avoid clutter and focus on high-priority and valid hiring needs. This cleanup mechanism enhances productivity and ensures a lean and responsive recruitment pipeline.
4. Enhances Operational Efficiency
Automating job requisition expiration reduces manual follow-ups and administrative overhead, freeing up time for strategic HR initiatives. The result is a more streamlined and agile talent acquisition process that aligns with business objectives.
5. Improves Candidate Experience
By ensuring that only actively managed job requisitions move forward, the system reduces unnecessary delays in the recruitment process. This leads to faster hiring cycles and a more positive experience for candidates.
