Job description
This position designs/builds/maintains environments, supports system rollouts, responds to and troubleshoots escalated operational issues while managing internal and external customer relationships, informs/advises project managers and stakeholders about project plans and implementation, conducts technical analysis, produces technical subject matter expert and strategy recommendations, and helps to educate and develop other administrators.
This position is also charged with not only supporting daily operations of specific applications, but must also work with the team to automate processes and procedures, creating efficiencies and providing quality business services to our clients and customers.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Handle PeopleSoft DBA role for one or more PeopleSoft Upgrade projects
- Expected to work with Application Team to identify and fix issues related to peoplesoft Infra
- Experience in PeopleSoft Implementation an Upgrade methodology Change Assistant and PUM image concepts. Need to Apply Patches, Install and setup Elastic Search.
- Utilize Change Assistant to install updates fixes perform upgrades
- Utilize PeopleSoft Upgrade Manager PUM to apply selective application updates
Desired Candidate Profile
- Should have atleast one hands on in Database – 11g to 12c/18c/19c
- Experience in setting up RAC instances is good to have.
- Experience in managing Database/troubleshooting Oracle/sql server DBs.
- Experienced in performing Patching, bug fixes and a knowledge on upgrade processes using
change assistant. - Experience with PUM, Change Assistant, PeopleSoft performance utilities
- Experience administering PeopleSoft applications in UNIX/LINUX platform, including shell scripting skills (KSH, Bash, Perl, etc.) Experience troubleshooting PS Performance issues, Process failures etc.
