Kovaion AI Labs: From Ideas to Impact
Last month marked an exciting milestone in Kovaion’s innovation journey as we officially launched Kovaion AI Labs at Kovaion Connect 2026. Kovaion AI Labs is an innovation ecosystem created to transform real-world business challenges into practical, scalable AI solutions.
At Kovaion, many of our best ideas have started with a simple conversation. A customer brings us a challenge. We ask questions, explore possibilities, experiment, and build. An idea becomes a prototype, and the prototype eventually becomes a solution that creates measurable value. Kovaion AI Labs gives this journey a dedicated home.
The Labs bring together two specialised areas: our Oracle AI Lab, focused on building intelligent solutions using Oracle Cloud, Oracle AI, Oracle APEX, Oracle Database and enterprise applications; and our AI & Emerging Technologies Lab, exploring Generative AI, AI agents, machine learning, IoT, cybersecurity and emerging technologies.
We are not starting with just ideas. We already have multiple AI solutions and use cases up and running across HR, finance, supply chain, education and enterprise operations – including Invoice AI, Perform360, workforce intelligence, ScholarPath, distribution solutions and multi-agent operational use cases.
We are also strengthening our innovation ecosystem through partnerships with leading AI platforms including Claude (Anthropic), OpenAI and Sarvam AI, enabling us to explore the right technology and architecture for different enterprise challenges.
Our approach is simple: Assess. Prove. Build. Run. We start with the problem, prove the value, build for the enterprise, and continue to evolve the solution.

ORACLE APEX COMMUNITY EVENT
Exploring Agentic AI in Action with Oracle APEX
Kovaion was proud to be part of APEX AI UTSAV CONNECT 2026 in Coimbatore as a partner and sponsor, joining the Oracle APEX community for a day of AI, innovation, knowledge sharing, and industry collaboration.
As part of the event, Akilmurugan Ganeshkumar, Senior Consultant, Kovaion, and Soorya Prakash S, Consultant, Kovaion, led a session titled “Agentic AI in Action: Building ScholarPath with Oracle APEX.” The session explored how Agentic AI and Oracle APEX can work together to build intelligent, context-aware enterprise applications.
Through the ScholarPath use case, the session demonstrated how an AI agent could be configured using OCI Generative AI and Cohere Command A, connected with relevant student context and purpose-built tools, and integrated with Oracle Database and PL/SQL business logic. The demonstration covered how Agentic AI could support scholarship discovery, eligibility evaluation, conversational assistance, application submission, and status tracking, while incorporating human approval for consequential actions.
The session offered a practical perspective on how Oracle APEX and AI can work together to create intelligent application experiences and enable smarter enterprise workflows, highlighting the possibilities of APEX 26.1 in an AI-driven application landscape.

SPORTZIA
SPORTZIA Virtual 5K Brings the Running Community Together
The Sportzia Virtual 5K Run 2026 brought together runners, walkers, and fitness enthusiasts to embrace an active lifestyle and take on a 5 KM challenge from wherever they were. Held from 11 to 20 September 2026, the virtual event created an accessible way for participants to complete their first 5K or take on their next one at their own pace.
Participants tracked their 5 KM activity through the Sportzia App, enabling them to record their run or walk and complete the challenge from a location of their choice. The event also encouraged participants to make fitness a shared experience by joining with family and friends.
In collaboration with EverFit Runners Club and FitCoach Sekar, the initiative focused on encouraging more people to take their first step towards running and building healthier lifestyles. The larger mission was to help 2K+ runners complete their first 5K, making running more accessible and enjoyable for beginners.
Participants who completed the challenge were able to collect their finisher medal, e-certificate, and runner gift from their selected Decathlon store, adding a memorable finish to their 5K journey.

The festive spirit continued with a series of fun competitions and engaging activities, giving employees an opportunity to participate, showcase their creativity, and enjoy some memorable moments together. The enthusiasm and participation added a lively touch to the celebrations and brought colleagues together beyond their everyday work.
The occasion was a wonderful reminder of the joy that comes from celebrating traditions together and creating shared experiences as a team.
