Oracle APEX Consultant

Experience: 3–5 years 

Travel: Willingness to travel to customer locations when required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and enhance Oracle APEX applications based on business requirements.
2. Participate in requirement discussions and convert functional needs into application features.
3. Design user-friendly pages, workflows, validations, reports, and dashboards.
4. Develop database objects and write efficient SQL and PL/SQL code.
5. Integrate APEX applications with Oracle Cloud, REST APIs, and external systems.
6. Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely fixes and production support.
7. Perform unit testing and support functional testing and UAT. 
8. Prepare technical specifications, configuration details, and user documentation.
9. Follow secure coding, version control, and application development standards.
10. Collaborate with functional consultants, technical teams, and business users throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Required Skills and Experience:

1. 3–5 years of hands-on Oracle APEX application development experience.
2. Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
3. Experience with APEX components such as Interactive Reports, Interactive Grids, Dynamic Actions, Shared Components, validations, and authentication.
4. Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for application customisation.
5. Experience consuming and developing REST APIs.
6. Good understanding of relational database concepts and data modelling.
7. Ability to understand business requirements and propose practical solutions.
8. Experience in debugging, performance tuning, and resolving application issues.
9. Good written and verbal communication skills.
10. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a project team.

Good to Have:

1. OIC integration development experience.
2. Experience with AI-enabled features or automation within Oracle APEX applications.
3. Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, or other source-control and deployment practices.
4. Oracle APEX certification.
