Prerequisites 

Before enabling and using AI Assist for candidate messaging, ensure the following requirements are met:  

 Access Rights: You must have the necessary administrative privileges to manage profile options and profile categories within the Setup and Maintenance work area. 

• Admin Role: Application Implementation Consultant or Recruiting Administrator. 

• Recruiter Role: ORA_IRC_RECRUITING_CANDIDATE_EXPERIENCE_ADMIN (to access Redwood recruiting features) 

Step-by-Step Guide 

To bring this power to your recruiting team, follow these administrative steps to enable the feature. 

1. Create the Profile Option 

Step 1: Navigate to Setup and Maintenance and search for Manage Profile Options. Click the New icon and enter the following details as seen in your configuration screen: 

• Profile Option Code: HCM_GENAI_IRC_COMPOSE_MESSAGE_ENABLED. 
• Profile Display Name: Enable AI Assist for messages. 
• Application: Recruiting. 
• Module: Recruiting Common. 
• Start Date: Select the current date.

Step 2: Enable at Site Level. 

Once created, search for the profile option and go to the Profile Option Levels section. 

Check the Enabled and Updatable boxes for the Site level to ensure the feature is active across your organization.

Step 3: Set the Profile Value. 

Navigate to Manage Administrator Profile Values and search for the code you just created. In the Profile Values section, click New.  

Select Site as the level and set the Profile Value to “Y”.

Step 4: Authorize Access. 

To allow the Recruiting module to communicate with the AI service, navigate to Manage Profile Categories and search for ORA_FND_AUTH_REST_ACCESS. 

Add a new record in the Profile Options section. 

Select HCM_GENAI_IRC_COMPOSE_MESSAGE_ENABLED from the list and Save.

Step 5:  Putting it into Action: Drafting an Email 

Once configured, the user experience is seamless. Here is how to use it: 

Open the Compose Window: From a candidate profile (like John Vincent), navigate to the Messages tab and click Compose.

Provide Instructions: In the prompt field, tell the AI what you need. For example: “Tell the candidate about job details and description”.

Generate and Refine: Click the AI Assist button. The AI will populate the Subject and Message Body. You can then edit the text manually or use the Regenerate button to adjust the tone or length.

Preview and Send: Use the Preview button to see the final layout, then click Send.

The message is instantly logged in the candidate’s activity history for full visibility.
