Overview of AI Consumer and AI Author in Fusion Analytics Data Platform
Users with the required access can utilize AI Consumer and AI Author features within FADP. AI Consumer helps business users gain instant insights through natural language interactions, while AI Author enables analysts to create dashboards and reports using AI-assisted capabilities. For better understanding, the demonstration begins with AI Consumer followed by AI Author.
- Step 1: Log in to the Administration Console for FDI.
- Step 2: Select ‘Go to Home Page’ to open the FDI page, which will then be available for end-user access.

The FDI home page is shown below, where all pre-built workbooks related to Oracle HCM modules are available. This is also where AI Consumer and AI Author features can be explored and tested.
Note: These workbooks will support AI functionality only when the features are enabled.

A pre-built Core HR workbook will be chosen to examine its features and gain a clearer understanding of the AI feature.
When creating a new dashboard or report, users can use the AI Assistant to enter prompts and view responses instantly within the same interface.
Select the required dataset to create dashboards, and based on the need, one or more dashboards can be built. Then click the Wizard icon and choose Assistant to generate dashboards or ask queries. The AI-generated visualizations can be dragged onto the canvas and reused as needed.
The AI Assistant can also be used in Consumer mode with Oracle-delivered dashboards for better understanding.

Note: Oracle-delivered dashboards cannot be used directly with the AI Assistant. A copy of the delivered dashboard must first be created. The AI Assistant must then be enabled on this copy before it can be used.
Similarly, select any dashboard with AI Consumer enabled, where users can ask questions in simple language to easily understand the dashboard and get answers to their queries.
